iDelirium announces World Delirium Awareness Day 2018

The second annual Social Media World Delirium Awareness Day will take place on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 (#WDAD2018, #deliriumeh).  This year's theme is Delirium Prevention.

We are pleased to be on iDelirium's Canadian Planning Committee (co-chaired by Dr. Rakesh C. Arora - MB, and Dr. Niamh O'Regan - ON). Join us in making it a great success across Canada by spreading the word and getting involved.

On this day, we are encouraging health care organizations, professionals and consumers to take action to raise delirium awareness, and unite on social and internet media to show support for this important initiative.

If you are interested in learning more about WDAD and / or hosting an event at your institution, check out iDelirium's website www.idelirium.org. Please participate and encourage others to follow, tag, tweet and retweet their twitter feed on @iDelirium_Aware.

Coach's Tip - Mobility Quick Tip

How do you communicate the importance of mobility with your patients? Making printed, visual information readily available is one way to get the message out.

We recently shared the MOVE ON Poster "The benefits of getting out of bed" on Twitter, and a UK physician re-tweeted at his colleagues "this is worthy of attaching to the front door of every hospital ward". What a great idea!  Click here for the poster. For more information about MOVE ON including posters and patient handouts, click here.
