PRESCHOOL SCIENCE SHOWS "WOW" OUR BUDDING SCIENTISTS
Courtesy of Mrs. Shaina Segal, our youngest students were encouraged to explore the world of science using a variety of solids and liquids in a lab setting. Mrs. Segal has been presenting exciting lessons for our elementary students for the past number of years. We had the opportunity recently to invite her to our preschool. It was an enthralling morning for all kindergarten girls as they learned how to weigh and measure the mass of various liquids, in the process of creating a "Density Column". Our Nursery students learned about flammability; fire needs oxygen to burn and dies out when carbon dioxide is created. Please enjoy some of the children's faces as they explore their curiosity! Thanks to our PTA for making this exciting educational opportunity possible.
"ASHREINU" - LOWER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM KICKOFF
We are building our sense of pride in Yiddishkeit with our school-wide theme of Ashreinu. We had a great assembly with student presentations. Our program coordinator, Mrs. Judy Neuberger asked the girls, "What makes you proud to be Jewish?" We had many beautiful responses from students. Please enjoy the video of Mrs. Shoshana Kruger's First Grade class  presenting their song-dance about saying Modim to connect to Hashem every morning! It is predicated on the concept that Yisrael Oraisa V'Kudsha Brich Hu (Bnei Yisroel, Torah, and Hashem) are all one . Students of all ages are being taught and inspired that we take pride in being part of the Jewish people, living a Torah life and having a special bond with Hashem.

PTA Q&A JANUARY 1ST EVENT
We had a beautiful morning hosting mothers. Many mothers joined us to spend their holiday morning here at school and to participate in a Q&A session with Rabbi Sanders and Rabbi Stein. Mothers were able to observe a First Grade assembly, creating colorful bookmarks with butterflies to highlight our theme of Respect in the hallways. Our second grade students showcased a kumsitz singing Zemiros Shabbos. We always welcome parents to learn more about your daughter's experience in Bais Yaakov.

LEARNING MATH DOUBLES
Enjoy a visit to Miss Lowenbraun's First Grade homeroom class where the girls are singing and learning their Math facts. This is an example how we instruct Math. We are able to teach multiple skills while harnessing the girls' creativity to enhance their learning experience!
