Attention Local Agencies: Are You Interested in Becoming a Summer Food Site?
Youth Services is a Summer Food sponsor that allows sites with refrigerators, running water, bathroom facilities and place to eat to serve breakfast, lunch and/or snacks (up to 2 meals) to children under the age of 18 in Palm Beach County. The program
would like to expand its reach to ensure that all children are receiving nutritious meals. Please contact the person below if you know of agencies, churches and organizations that would like free meals distributed to their site to serve the population.

PBSO Curriculum for Teachers: Too Good for Drugs
Geared towards Elementary School students. Sheriff Bradshaw has offered to buy Too Good for Drugs curriculum for any teacher who attends a ½ day training put on by Dr. Klarich. Dr. Klarich will come to the school and train all school teachers. Any teacher who attends the training will receive a curriculum for their classroom (valued at $150.00) with the understanding that they will begin to teach the curriculum when they receive it. The curriculum can be taught within 30 minutes a week, once a week, for a 10 week block. The curriculum teaches social and emotional learning which has been proven to reduce drug use in children as they get older.

A Guide for Students Facing Expulsion from Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County
The Expulsion Project is a special program provided by the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County with the support of the School Board of Palm Beach County. This program provides free legal services to families who meet the income requirement and are faced with the expulsion of their child. Expulsion means the removal of the right of a student to attend any public school in Palm Beach County for a period of time not to exceed the remainder of the term or school year and one additional year.

TPS Termination Haiti and El Salvador
The Federal government has released the official notices for termination of TPS for Haiti and El Salvador. Both have a FINAL 18-month extension, which runs for 60 days from January 18, 2018 through March 19, 2018. Current TPS recipients who do not re-register within the 60 days may be subject to removal.
