Tech Notes: OCW Reloading
I can't remember how I found Dan Newberry and Optimum Charge Weight, but glad I did about 8 years ago.
Getting a Rem m700 CDL in 30-06 with tapered 24" barrel to shoot best could was a challenge I'd never tried before.
A "hunting" load, mind you. And the best part is, this load shoots great in a couple of older Remingtons, m742 and m760BDL, as well.

Parting Shots
I hope hunting season was rewarding for members. There were many experiences this year that made this the best hunting season for me ever. Mainly due to my wife, Marilyn, accompanying me. We made all but two weekends to the ranch, most enjoyable. The 8 pt above was spooked by the cedars "popping off" pollen with the gusty winds this past weekend. It looks like smoke from a forest fire and this deer "high tailed it" outta there...

Here is to a great 2018 for our club and great fishing, hunting and shooting sports for our members.
