Doctor's Tip for the week

What to Do When Your Kid Has the Flu

Know the symptoms to look for, how to treat the flu at home, and when to seek medical care.

It's not always easy to tell your child has the flu. The illness comes on fast and is more intense than a cold. Kids tend to feel worse during the first 2 or 3 days they're sick.

Parenting Tip for the week

Cabin Fever Busters

Try jumping, bouncing, and tumbling games to burn off energy when it's too cold or wet to be outside.

Move to Your Imagination: Offer up a few ideas for creative ways to move, and then let your kids' imaginations run free. Encourage them to bend all around like a tree swaying in the wind.

News From LTA
View From The Front

Dear LTA Families,

Another week is approaching us and we will discover new topics. Reptiles and amphibians are the talk of the classroom for our Waddlers, PreK-2, and Toddler-2. Not everyone likes to handle live reptiles or amphibians but this classroom topic can be an inspiration for friendly kids craft projects creating and learning about these animals. In addition to animal discussion, both our preschool and  PreK-1 rooms will focus on zoo animals. When visiting the zoo you can see every kind of animal from just about anywhere all in one day. These two classes will be bringing the excitement of the zoo to the students' very own classrooms. This theme gives children the opportunity to learn about all the different animals around the world. Lastly, our Toddler-1 classroom will cover the topic of dental health. It's never too early to begin teaching our little ones proper hygiene.

Also, please remember that LTA will be closed on Monday, February 19, for a Teacher Work Day.

Let's make it a wonderful week!
