2018 Legal Aid Day in Sacramento

Are you interested in speaking to your legislators about the importance of legal aid? Join LAAC and legal aid lawyers from across the state on a trip to Sacramento - we are planning a "Legal Aid" Day in Sacramento in early 2018!

On our Legal Aid Day at the legislature, we will bring volunteers from legal aid organizations throughout the state to Sacramento to educate legislators about the great work you do for their constituents. With the decreasing number of legislators who are lawyers, it is more important than ever that we communicate how critical your services are in your community.

If you are interested in learning more about Legal Aid Day or possibly joining us in Sacramento, please sign up here!

More information and the finalized date to come soon!
Justice in Government

LAAC is working with the Justice in Government Project to help open up new sources of funding for services to your clients. This is a continuation of our successful work to open up the Victims of Crime Act funding for legal aid. Keep on the lookout for questions from us about how you serve as an important piece of the safety net for low-income Californians - we'll be using that in our messaging!
