Intro to Kids Yoga Actions Teacher Training - Module 1
Serene Yoga Studio is offering an off-site Teacher Training for individuals, parents & educators, interested in teaching yoga to our tiny Winnipeggers!

 No previous yoga or teaching experience is required. Participants in the program will:
  • learn to enhance a child's educational experience through mindfulness and playfulness;
  •  be able to share yoga-inspired activities with children and students in studios, schools, daycares and at home;
  •  gain the confidence to channel a child's creative energy in a variety of fun ways through hands-on lessons;
  • receive a training handbook included in the registration fee.
If you are an educator, the program is developed with special attention to everyday activities complimentary to your current curriculum.

Serene Yoga Actions 200 hour Teacher Training

Are you a curious and want to learn more about Yoga? If so, our Canadian Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Yoga Actions Teacher Training will provide you with the opportunity to delve deeper. Learn:
  • how to design and teach asana (yoga postures) using yoga actions along with anatomy and physical safety
  • the philosophy of yoga
  • sanskrit terms
  • and much much more!!!

Low student to teacher ratio ensures you receive the highest degree of support and mentoring.     

In addition, receive a complete set of the Creating Space: Yoga Actions book series by the authors Helen Maupin and Candace Propp, and a Student handbook.

Investment
  • $1300 + GST per year (100 hours of training.)  
  • A $400 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space each year. 
  • Participants can choose from 1 of the 2 discounted pass rates to fulfill the required 50 classes per year:
    • Unlimited Classes valid from September -June (no refunds or extensions) for $700 plus GST
    • 50 Class Pass valid from September -August (no refunds or extensions) for $550 plus GST

Personal Development Yoga Actions Workshops
Intro to Kauit and Yin Yoga

Asana opens up the communication pathways between all aspects and systems of our being, in particular the nervous system (spine) and the tissues (muscle, bone, fascia, etc.). This is significant because in our 20s our bodies begin aging and our muscles get weaker and looser while our fascia shrink-wraps around these tissues. Of course, emotional reactions, such as applying our will, add to these aging effects, which is why it is important to address the fascia in beginner students even before addressing the muscular body. Additionally, when we impose our will on what is emerging in our body, we block our subconscious intelligence from maintaining and nurturing our involuntary systems. The focus of this workshop is to experience longer holds in Kaiut and Yin postures while facilitating the spontaneous healing capacity of our cellular body through the use of a cellular mula bandha breath technique.

5 KOSHAS - A Practice For Each Sheath (2 Day Workshop)

For millennia, human beings have sought certainty, wellness and immortality outside themselves in the physical world. In actuality, such forms of permanence abide within one's soul or eternal unchanging self. As yogis, we access our soul by removing the layers of accumulated conditioning and reactive habits currently blocking its true expression. In this workshop, we free our soul by tapping into our koshas-five increasingly deeper layers (sheaths) of being housed within our bodies. You will experience a practice for each sheath-physical, breath and life force, mental, intuition, and soul. A regular, thoughtful eight-limb practice integrates these five koshas providing us with mind-body-spirit wellness.
