Scheduling
Hopefully this week will be the start of our students getting back into the routine of school
even though the first semester ends next Thursday, January 18th. I am confident that our students will finish the first half of the year strong and continue to work hard for the remainder of the year.

In the coming weeks students in all grades will be learning about the scheduling process.  A high school counselor will be speaking to 8th grade students on Thursday, January 18th.  There is a parent night scheduled for 8th grade families on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00 PM in the PAC.  8th grade students will then begin scheduling on Monday, February 5th.

5th - 7th grade students will be learning about the scheduling process from our school counselors.  After a scheduling overview is presented by our school counselors, they will meet with each student individually throughout January and February to talk about academics, career exploration, and social/emotional development.  Please be on the lookout for more information regarding the scheduling process.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, counselor, grade level principal, or me with any questions throughout the year.
Important Notes:

The Music Man
The NRHS spring musical is looking for middle school students.  If you are interested in trying out, please click here for more information.

Keith Hawkins
Keith Hawkins, one of North America's top youth speakers will be presenting to our students on Tuesday, January 23rd.  The "Leaving Footprints in the Lives of the Human Race" presentation will certainly help our students to build meaningful relationships with each other.  He will also be facilitating our NRMS Leadership Conference later in the day.

Basketball Tailgate
The NRMS Basketball Tailgate  is a great way for all students to get involved at NRMS. Students can purchase tickets for $4.00 in the cafeteria during lunch. The ticket provides students with pizza, water, and chips during the tailgate along with entrance into the 8th grade girls and boys basketball games on Thursday, January 25th.  Once the game starts, students can be picked-up at any time from the Gold Gym. At the conclusion of the boys game at approximately 6:15 PM all remaining pick-ups should happen at the front of the school.  We would encourage all who attend the tailgate to stay for both basketball games!

North Royalton Athletic Boosters
The North Royalton Athletic Boosters do a lot to support our middle level athletes.  Please take a moment to look at our athletics webpage as well as the NRAB newsletter.
