This will be an opportunity to meet the new Associate AIA Director, Jennifer Bradshaw and our new AXP Coordinator, Morgan Jones, AIA.

Join us for food, drink and conversation!

Morgan Jones,  a registered architect,is theManager of Planning and Assessment at Metropolitan Library System where she is responsible for Long-Range Planning, Capital Projects, and Organizational Assessment. She joined the Library in November 2016 after working for seven years as a design professional. She has been an active member of the AIA since 2010 and served as the Associate Director for the Central Oklahoma Chapter in 2012.

Jennifer Bradshaw is originally from Moore, Oklahoma and she received her degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University in 2015. After graduating she worked on education and religious projects in Tulsa for about a year and a half before moving back to Oklahoma City. Jennifer's favorite past times are running, reading and renovating. She is still working through NCARB's AXP and licensing exams and hopes to have these completed by the end of the year.

Volunteers & Supplies Needed for Open Streets!
AIA will have a booth at Open Streets on Sunday, April 8th and we need your help!  Jennifer Bradshaw, our Associate AIA Director, is heading up the effort but she needs some help.

We need help preparing the Cardboard Building Block Activity prior to the event as well as volunteers the day of the event.  If you're interested in helping, please email us at [email protected].

In addition to the volunteers we need these items:
  • Cardboard boxes (from tissue box size to the big guys, short and squatty to long and skinny) - building walls
  • Cardboard sheets (or chip board) - could be used for the roofs or floors of their buildings.
  • Cardboard Tubes (empty paper towel rolls to the big plotter tubes) - building columns
If you're willing to donate some items let us know!  We can come and pick it up!

Rena is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Oklahoma where she taught voice speech and dialects to numerous actors who have gone on to perform on Broadway, in film and television.
