Keeping Families Close at RMHCCIN
Mission Moment: Rebuilding Together

"Thank you so very much for the generosity you have shown my family and I during probably the hardest period of our lives. After my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia I felt like my world was ending. Then, Ronald McDonald House, my family and I started putting it back together again. Positive results and good news came during my stay and soon I get to take my daughter home. Thank you for helping keep my family together during this time."

A Message from our CEO

Michelle Study-Campbell,
Chief Executive Officer
Can you believe it? Another year has flown by, and what a year it was!

In 2017, we welcomed our Chief Cheer Officer Mac to the RMHCCIN family, celebrated 35 years of keeping families close, had a record-breaking year for our annual Taste gala and so much more. The result of our successes means we can launch more programs, we can provide more comfort and care and most importantly, we can keep more families together during their greatest time of need.

None of this would have been possible without you, so I would like to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for your time, your generosity and your continuous support. As we look toward 2018, we are excited for what the future holds for our organization. With a new year comes many new opportunities. Be sure to stayed tuned to our e-newsletter and social media pages for the latest and greatest updates on the House and our families. We can't wait to see the impact we can make together in 2018!

Wishing you all good health, success and happiness in the new year.

Adopt-a-Room Spotlight: Bud the Wonder Dog

The Adopt-a-Room program is a year-long sponsorship of a room or continuing care apartment at our Limestone and Riley Houses. The program provides families with much more than just a roof over their heads -- it helps to provide support, home-cooked meals and relief from their stressful situations. Most importantly, room partners are helping families focus on what matters most -- their seriously-ill or injured child.

This month, we would like to take the time to recognize Bud the Wonder Dog. One of our House volunteers knows first-hand how much a room can mean to a stressed-out family.  Bud the Wonder
Dog does too and contributed at the request of that volunteer.

Thank you,  Bud,  for giving families a warm and safe place to stay! We appreciate your support.
Around the House

Our playroom is looking good thanks to some new additions by the Walnut Hill Homeowners Association ! This Plainfield, IN group stopped by a few weeks ago and decked us out with a brand new train table, play kitchen, Barbie Dream House and more. Our kiddos have been over the moon!

Snow days are some of the best days for Chief Cheer Officer Mac ! He has enjoyed lots of playtime in the snow and back scratches from House friends.

Our friends at Courage and Kindness Co. recently brought some serious girl power to our House! On Saturday, January 20 our families got to enjoy some superhero training with Rey and  Wonder Woman!

Judges for RMHCCIN Scholarship Applications Needed!

RMHCCIN is seeking volunteers to participate in our annual scholarship review.  Since 2008, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to high school seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement through our RMHC Scholarship Program. Each year RMHCCIN receives numerous applications and volunteers are needed to help evaluate candidates on established criteria provided, including: academic achievement, personal statement, short essay, leadership involvement and commitment to community service. Application screenings will take place mid-March through early-April. Evaluations will take approximately two hours to complete and can be done from the convenience of your own home or office.

To be a part of this rewarding opportunity, please contact Savannah Ball at (317) 267-0605 ext. 209 or at [email protected]  no later than Wednesday, March 7.
