Today's global society is overwhelmed with misinformation and opinions, while the value of facts is being forgotten. RAND President & CEO, Michael Rich, identifies this process as "truth decay". To better understand the "erosion of respect for facts and evidence" Rich asked RAND Political Scientist, Jennifer Kavanagh ( read full bio), to design a research agenda to study its causes and consequences.

Join us for an important discussion with Dr. Kavanagh on her RAND research analyzing the causes and consequences of "truth decay". Why is it happening? What are the dangers of turning our backs on facts? Can it be stopped? As we begin a new year, it's critical that we address this issue and remind ourselves that facts still matter.

IVCLA's international exchange programs help people see the truth; truth that breaks down misconceptions and creates understanding between people and cultures. We will continue to foster informed global dialogue and promote evidence-based collaboration in order to create a more peaceful and prosperous world.

As part of our Global Awareness Luncheon, IVCLA will induct our 2018 Directors to the Board. Please help us welcome them in their new roles!

Members: $45.00; Non-Members: $55.00

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior registration is required to attend. Please register by Thursday, January 25th.
