The Forst Inn Arts Collective: 2018 Theater Season Tickets are on sale! Hamann Construction Co. recently completed Satori's Star Wash, a 24/7 touch-free self-service car wash facility located on N. 30th St. off Menasha Ave. in Manitowoc.  Satori's Auto Service owns the new car wash featuring a unique rocker arm radial sprayer, a state-of-the-art undercarriage and side blaster, a two-step pre-soak and wash, and a quad blower drying system. Connected to the car wash, Hamann is also renovating a 10,000-square-foot vehicle sales showroom slated to open this spring. Holy Family Memorial (HFM) Wellness Center will offer Why Weight Plus program. Learn how to lose weight and keep the pounds off. Participants meet Mondays from 8:00-9:00am, starting January 15. The program consists of 16 core sessions and 6 monthly post-core sessions. During each session, a lifestyle coach will share topics that will help participants learn how to incorporate healthy eating choices and physical activity into their lives. Why Weight Plus also has a fitness component that includes a three-month membership to the HFM Wellness Center. The Salvation Army Manitowoc  fell short of the Red Kettle Campaign goal by approximately 20%. The "Christmas Campaign" actually ends January 31, 2018, so donations are still being accepted and will go toward the overall annual goal. These funds are important in maintaining the programming that is already in place and for any future programming that will benefit our County.
 
The Bay at North Ridge  Medical and Rehab, 1445 N. 7th St., Manitowoc, invites you to our Third Thursday presentation on January 18 at 10:00am to learn about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Diane Fergot, Care Services Coordinator for the Wisconsin Chapter of the ALS Association, will present information on recognizing and dealing with ALS. Manitowoc County Historical Society will look at the history of the Rouse Simmons on Thursday, February 8 at 5:30pm at the  Holiday Inn - Manitowoc (4601 Calumet Ave.).  Best-selling author and storyteller Rochelle Pennington will host a presentation that will explore the tragic loss of the Rouse Simmons, better known as "The Christmas Tree Ship," during a November gale in 1912. Advanced registration required. The cost is $20 Members and $25 Non-members.
 
Felician Village: Independence...with help when you need it at The Court at Felician Village. Attend our Open House Thursday, January 18, from 2:00 to 5:00pm and learn how your loved one can maintain their independence while still having help 24/7. Manitowoc County Kennel Club (MCKC):  Obedience, correction clinics, conformation, agility and retriever classes are held at various times of the year for members and the public. MCKC also hosts many events throughout the year, which include Obedience Shows, Conformation Shows, Agility Trials, AKC Sanctioned Field Trials, Licensed Field Trials and Licensed Hunt Tests.  Registration for next class session is Tuesday, January 16, at 6:00pm. The Masquers, Inc. has announced its cast for the second show of their season, "Heaven Can Wait," a classic comedy-fantasy.
