Dear Friends,
We need
YOUR
help on Thursday, Feb. 8
th. We are bringing a fun and exciting Science show called
Spin, Pop, Boom to HCA for an Open House evening.
PLEASE PUT THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW AND BRING FRIENDS. A group called MAD SCIENCE is coming to amaze and thrill us with cool experiments that will teach and excite kids about chemistry and physics. After the show, our classrooms will be open and each one will have a short, fun, age-appropriate STEM activity that our guests may try.
Our students will be the presenters so
PLEASE make sure to
save the night. Posters are available in the office to put up in your church and town.
HCA is
God’s school and it is up to us all to do our parts to make it known to others. We have plenty of room right now and would love to see every room more full next year. In our churches and towns
there are kids whom God may be calling through each one of us to receive a Christian school education. They are out there; please reach out and say something! Massachusetts is one of the most spiritually dark states in the country and our prayer is to raise up students with a strong foundation in Christ who will stand firm with God for the sake of their own families as well as the Church at large. The cultural battle was lost years ago. We are now
preaching to the remnant and the stakes have never been higher. We need to work together, harder than ever before, to keep Christian school education available in Central Massachusetts.
Years ago we decided to make
February and March very exciting at HCA. That is how the
Read-a-thon got scheduled during this time. It helped a great deal. Over the years it has become more streamlined and very effective. In addition to
raising over $17,000 last year, there was a palpable
excitement about books. Kids were reading, trading books, and talking about authors and stories while walking in the halls. Mrs. Lucier reported a
huge jump in reading levels after the Read-a-thon because students were reading so much in a short amount of time - a win-win! The staff are all participating as well. The joy of reading is contagious. Every year we try to beat our last year’s record. Now with the internet it is a cinch!
Please remember to
send out those group e-mails and ask, ask, ask. We are in it together and prayerfully through our collective efforts we will raise the funds we need and bring in all the children God wants to be here!
Working together for
eternal reasons,
Susan Hayward, Principal
