For the last decade, these four amazing vocalists and dancers have provided all the background vocals and choreography for rock 'n' roll icon Frankie Valli and they are coming to the Dolly Hand! The Modern Gentlemen's own signature style blends modern voices in four-part harmonic perfection with tight, high-energy dance moves to create a thrilling performance of the classic hits of Motown, Pop, Rock, DooWop and of course, The Four Seasons!

The Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance of Palm Beach county, Inc. (LORE) meeting will be held at CareerSource. 

Saving Lives LLC will be holding a Community CPR Awareness event at Lakeside Medical Center. The event will feature a First Aid, CPR and AED class, and is offered free of charge.

The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. The meeting is open to all who wish to join.

The Mentoring Support Opportunity was conceived to help mentoring programs develop additional matches, and help alleviate the wait list of mentees in Palm Beach County. Through the Mentoring Support Opportunity, the United Way of Palm Beach County seeks to support capacity-building efforts that enhance the quality of mentoring programs and increase the number of youth being mentored. The typical Mentoring Support Opportunity mini-grant is between $2,000 up to a maximum of $5,000 (based on available funds) to be used to increase program capacity and become eligible to join the Mentor Center Network.

First workshop: Financial Management

How many Great Leaders have you had the opportunity to work with in your life? If you're like most of us, sadly the answer is "not that many." Even though "great" can be in the eye of the beholder, it turns out there are some common attributes and characteristics that differentiate good from great leadership.

We will be discussing 4 pillars that define great leadership: demonstrate emotional intelligence; build great teams; develop other great leaders; Produce great results. Come prepared to share stories and discuss attributes, and see how you match up against these characteristics.

Nonprofit organizations are not immune from these workplace issues. Harassment can not only result in lawsuits and damages, but can severely impact employees, compromise the delivery of services to clients and cripple fundraising efforts. This workshop is for executive and human resources leadership of nonprofit organization, and will address all aspects of harassment and bullying in the workplace, as well as required policies and procedures which must be in place and steps your organization can take to ensure a workplace free from unlawful harassment.

The Palm Beach County Community Action Agency's (CAA) mission is to collaborate with other organizations to remove barriers and create opportunities for low-income individuals and families that will enable them to become more self-sufficient.

The purpose of this Rising Leaders Service Learning Project RFP is to solicit proposals from nonprofit organizations in Broward and Palm Beach counties who need assistance with mitigating or solving a present challenge within their organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an organization to address a need or complete a project for which there are limited resources available. As a component of Nonprofits First's Rising Leaders program, organizations can expect a team of between 4-6 program candidates to work collaboratively with the organization and other professionals as needed to address the area of concern and identify possible solutions.

Registration is open for workshops in January, presented by the Florida Women's Business Center. Workshops include: How Should I Register My Business, Apply to Become a Vendor With the State of Florida, and more. All workshops are free of charge.
