Presentation of Nominating Committee's Final Slate for 2018-19
According to Lynne Diggs, M.D., Chairman of the 2018-19 Nominating Committee, no additional nominations were received as per the bylaws; therefore the slate as it was presented previously is the final slate for 2018-19.

The following officers will serve with Carolyn O'Conor, M.D.,
who will be President in 2018-19:

Larry Green, President-Elect
Annette Pham, Vice President
Angela Marshall, Secretary
Irfana Ali, Treasurer

Note: This notification constitutes the official notice of the slate to the membership. MCMS's Executive Board has chosen to notify members of the final slate via fax/email in lieu of presenting the slate at the January membership meeting. The January/February membership meeting is being replaced by five membership dinners to encourage collegiality and to provide feedback to MCMS.
Early Career Physicians Bocce with the Best of Them
Tuesday, February 6
Pinstripes at Pike & Rose N. Bethesda

Need new patients? Want more referrals? Need to meet more young physicians in the area? Make attending this Early Career Physicians event a priority!  It's fast. It's easy. It'll include indoor bocce, the classic Italian lawn game.

Bring lots of referral packets and business cards to give to your new contacts! Seize this opportunity to meet new physicians who practice in this area - all working toward the same goal - being more successful in Montgomery County and the D.C. metropolitan region!
Physician Collegiality Dinners:  Prepare to Mark Your Calendar
5 different dates and locations TBA!

In place of our usual Winter General Membership Meeting, MCMS invites you to attend one of our five PHYSICIAN COLLEGIALITY DINNERS.

It's a chance to congregate, commiserate, celebrate, and collaborate with each other! We are going back to the basics of physician collegiality where sharing cases and supporting each other was the norm. When mutual respect and understanding was key to your success and professional satisfaction.

Take a night off. Relax. Unwind. Bring a member colleague. See physicians you may not have seen in years or meet a new referral source. It will be good for you. It will also be good for your patients.

Socks from Docs
Ends this Wednesday, January 31
MCMS HQ

Warm toasty toes in cozy socks...it's safe to assume most of us have all we need to stay warm this winter. But many people in our community do not. Oftentimes, they must make the difficult choice between winter wardrobe and paying for food, medicine or utilities.

MCMS invites you to participate in a meaningful community service project during this special time of year. This drive, which will benefit Interfaith Works Clothing Center, is a perfect opportunity to engage your staff and patients in giving back to our neighbors in need. We will be collecting socks through January. We need YOU to help us keep families in Montgomery County warm this winter. Direct donations are also encouraged. Click here to contribute directly to Interfaith Works today.
