Mark Your Calendar for This Friday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at Trinity
Friday Night Service Confirmed for Trinity - Even Though All Saints Campus Now Accessible
Even though the All Saints campus, including the Sanctuary, Office, School and Rectory, has been removed from the mandatory evacuation area as of yesterday (1/24/18), there is much to accomplish before we can resume worship and normal operations. Foremost is the status of some utilities.

We also have significant clean-up duties to remove the debris from the use of our Parish Hall and Sanctuary as a medical treatment center and evacuation zone during the mudslides. We must also remove the wreaths, floral displays, greenery, etc. from Christmas. [Click here to read the Episcopal News Service story about how All Saints became ground zero during the mud slides.]

Therefore, not only will our gathering with our Diocesan Bishops and staff take place at Trinity Santa Barbara on Friday night, we will also worship at Trinity on Sunday, Jan. 28 (not at All Saints).

On Friday, January 26 at 6 p.m. we will hold a "Service of Healing and Hope" at Trinity Santa Barbara, 1500 State Street, Santa Barbara. Our chief pastor, the Rt. Rev. John Taylor, Bishop of Los Angeles, the Rt. Rev. Diane Jardine Bruce, the Rev. Melissa McCarthy and others from the Diocese of Los Angeles will be present with us to provide pastoral support. This "Service of Healing and Hope" will be a first step in our communal healing process.

Following worship, we will share a community meal at 7 p.m. in Trinity's Parish Hall. We invite those who have been able to remain in their home to bring items for the "Taco/Tostada Bar" dinner (see article below for details). Those who are evacuated are invited to simply come and share food and fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.  Children are welcome to the worship service and childcare will be provided.

The Rt. Rev. John Taylor, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, center, will lead a delegation from the Diocese in a "Service of Healing and Hope" this Friday night at Trinity for the parish of All Saints. Joining Bishop Taylor will be Suffragan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Diane Jardine Bruce, left, and the Rev. Melissa McCarthy, Canon to the Ordinary for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.
