Exploring the World During Winter Session

Each January brings unique opportunities for students to explore and discover during Winter Session, inluding courses that incorporate  exciting study away experiences. For the first time in VWU history, two students--Zoe Traficante and Cassandra Caldwell (pictured)--are studying in Tokyo, Japan during Winter Session as a result of a partnership with Rikkyo University.

As part of a scholarly exchange and collaboration agreement signed by President Miller and Professor Tomoya Yoshioka, president of Rikkyo University, two scholarships for VWU students to travel to its campus for their January Japanese Cultural Immersion Program were offered. The program comprises 45 hours of instruction and 25 hours of lecture on Japanese culture and society.  More

Invest in the Future

It's an exciting time to be a part of Coastal Virginia's Premier University of the Liberal Arts and Sciences. We have much to be proud of as an institution. A new semester allows our students to embrace new opportunities and discover new possibilities. VWU strives to provide our students with the knowledge and skills they will need in their careers and their lives.  With a curriculum focused on experiential learning through research and study away opportunities, our students develop transferable skills that will benefit them for years to come.

When you give to The Excellence Fund, you provide support to the growing numbers of students with every experience that make a liberal arts education at Virginia Wesleyan University valuable and unique. VWU depends on the generosity and widespread support of its alumni, parents, and community leaders.
