One Man Show: INSIDE FDR with Gary Stamm
2:00 p.m. (Wallace Center)

On Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Henry A. Wallace Center, the National Park Service will present INSIDE FDR -- a one man show about Franklin D. Roosevelt -- with Gary Stamm portraying the 32nd President of the United States. The public will hear from the "man himself" talking about things not learned in history class. Among the topics presented are: his hobbies, dealing with polio, his "firsts," his childhood, his favorite quotes, what he considers his greatest accomplishments and failures and more. Join us for a relaxed chat with FDR. Gary Stamm has portrayed FDR for over 10 years nationwide. For two years he toured in the critically acclaimed one man show A FIRESIDE CHAT:  A CONVERSATION WITH FDR.  Admission is free. Please register at http://insidefdr.eventbrite.com.

Please contact Cliff Laube with the Roosevelt Library at (845) 486-7745 or Franceska Macsali Urbin with the National Park Service at (845) 229-6225 with questions about these events.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
Designed by Franklin Roosevelt and dedicated on June 30, 1941, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum is the nation's first presidential library and the only one used by a sitting president. Administered by the National Archives and Records Administration since 1941, the Library preserves and makes accessible to the American people the records of FDR's presidency. The Roosevelt Library's mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the lives and times of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and their continuing impact on contemporary life. This work is carried out through the Library's archives and research room, museum collections and exhibitions, innovative educational programs, and engaging public programming. For more information about the Library or its programs call (800) 337-8474 or visit  www.fdrlibrary.org.

The National Park Service administers the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt and Top Cottage and Vanderbilt Mansion. Visitors to the sites can enjoy guided tours of the historic buildings. There are hiking trails that link all the parks. From May through October visitors from New York City can reserve transportation from the Poughkeepsie Train Station to all the sites in Hyde Park by calling (845) 229-5320 for the "Roosevelt Ride." For information about tours and other programs visit  www.nps.gov/hofr or call (845) 229-5320.
