Sue Tompkins Recognized With
Alma Lee Loy  Community Service Award
 
The prestigious Alma Lee Loy Community Service Award was established by the Chamber in 1995 to recognize a citizen of Indian River County who distinguish themselves professionally through excellence and privately through commitment to the Indian River County community at large.
 
In presenting the award to Ms. Tompkins, Chamber President Penny Chandler said "Sue's service to our community shows a history of skill, kindness, philanthropy and integrity.  We are proud to recognize her efforts."

Ms. Alma Lee Loy assisted in the presentation of the award. " Sue gets things done for this community. She has high professional standards and ethics, and has spent decades focusing her philanthropic efforts in ways that improve our community."

Peter Robinson Recognized
with Carolyn K. Eggert Award

The Chamber recognized Peter Robinson of the Laurel Agency with the Carolyn K. Eggert Economic Development Award. 

Established in 1999, the Carolyn K. Eggert Economic Development Award recognizes an individual who, through their leadership and commitment, has helped to create and maintain quality, year round jobs for the citizens of Indian River County. 
 

Denise Boehning 
Recognized 
as Volunteer of the Year 

Our Volunteer of the Year award was presented to  Denise Boehning, Coastal Waterways Design & Engineering. 

Denise is seen at a wide variety of Chamber meetings and events. She holds leadership roles on Chamber committees  and makes volunteering look easy.

Melody Ipolito Named
Ambassador of the Year

T he Jack Chesnutt Ambassador of the Year Award was presented to Melody Ipolito, Kmetz Nuttall Elwell Graham CPA's.. 

Melody
 actively supports the mission of the Chamber Ambassador program.  The "Ambassadors" are a group of Chamber members who serve as welcome agents for new members at Chamber functions. Ambassadors serve as official emcees at such Chamber networking events, ribbon cuttings and ground breakings. 


Commissioner Joe Flescher Tourism Advocate of the Year

The 2017 Tourism Advocate of the Year was presented to  Indian River County Commissioner Joe Flescher. 
 
This award is given to an individual who understands the value the tourism industry has on the Indian River County economy and who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the growth and success of our county's tourism industry. 

Jay Barwick Recognized as Young Professional of the Year

The 7th annual Young Professional of the Year Award was presented to Jay Barwick from Barwick Entertainment.  He is involved in YPN activities and giving back to this community through the YPN outreach program. 

The Chamber's Young Professional Network provides a unique opportunity to network with one another while receiving valuable information that will help young professionals advance in their careers.  Read More
