Be sure to register for a Grow Group for the spring semester if you haven't done so already! The spring semester begins this  Sunday, January 28, and will end Saturday, May 5. Register online at  vrbc.net/grow.

HOW DO I PICK A GROUP THAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?
Most of our groups relate to the message from that Sunday's worship service, but we also have several topical groups, such as Starting Point (a conversation about faith for those new or returning to Christianity), re|engage (a marriage enrichment group), and Financial Peace University (a group focused on bringing peace to your financial life). Check out  vrbc.net/grow for more information on available groups.

YES! If you would like to participate in our re|engage  (our marriage enrichment program)  or Financial Peace University  (a group focused on bringing peace to your financial life)  Grow Group this spring, you can also be a member of one of our sermon-based Grow Groups--just sign up for both at vrbc.net/grow!
RE|ENGAGE
BEGINS THIS MONDAY, JANUARY 29 | 7:00 PM

Are you prepared for the next phase of your marriage journey? Recently married? New parents? Young children? Teenagers? Empty nesters? Blended family? You are not alone. 
 
Relengage is a safe place for married couples to grow together and to learn new communication skills, as well as how to navigate different stages of life together.  Classes include a time of music, prayer, and stories by couples who have navigated different life stages and experiences, as well as small group time, which follows a specified, biblically-based curriculum.  Whether you are happily married and just want to improve your relationship or you find your marriage is in distress, relengage can help.

Join us for the spring Grow Group semester (January 29 through May 21, with the exception of March 12) and re|engage! We meet from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Monday nights in the VRBC Student Auditorium. Free childcare is available. Please contact Karen McCord for details at [email protected].
FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
BEGINS WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31 | DINNER INCLUDED

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a life-changing program that takes the knowledge of the Bible and turns it into real action in our lives through a simple step-by-step process. Taught by best-selling author and financial counselor Dave Ramsey via DVD, the class guides you to make the right money decisions to achieve your financial goals. FPU is for everyone from the financially secure to those in financial distress. The program includes practical lessons to eliminate debt, build wealth, give like never before, and much more!

FPU will meet on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm, beginning on January 31. A light dinner will be included each week. For more information and to register, visit our Grow Group registration page at  vrbc.net/grow.
THE GREAT DIVIDE
NEW TEACHING SERIES BEGINS THIS SUNDAY
 
Some of our greatest heroes are pioneers in crossing "the great divide." John  Glenn broke through the atmosphere. Christopher Columbus crossed an entire ocean. Chuck Yeager broke through the sound  barrier. 

In the same way,  we are called upon to cross great divides and be spiritual explorers. Our mission requires us to have  a pioneering spirit. We are those who must overcome barriers of every kind and cross over to plant  the flag of the gospel.

Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 or 11:00 beginning January 28 as we look at three  characters from Scripture who crossed great divides for the sake of the gospel. We will ask  God to turn us into brave pioneers and explorers!

VRBC's Cool Choir Club will be assembling toiletry kits for Cornerstone Baptist Church at their Spring Musical Kick-Off Party. The following travel-size toiletries are needed:

Body wash or small bar soap Shampoo
 Deodorant
Washcloths Toothpaste
Toothbrush

Collection bins for toiletries will be located inside the north and south entrances of the church through today, January 24. Thank you!
