DACA, Immigration and Refugee Rights Workshops
The Office of Diversity & Compliance and The Diversity & Inclusion Faculty Fellow Program is offering seminars on DACA, immigration and refugee rights. The seminars are specifically designed to provide critical information on immigrants' rights, NOCCCD's responsibilities, DACA updates, current refugee/asylee policy, and community resources available to the NOCCCD community. The first of these events is How to Prepare for ICE Campus and Workplace Enforcement Efforts and Know Your Rights and Immigration Issues Affecting OC Communities.

Film Students Showcase Work at Legendary Fox Theatre
The Fullerton Fox Theatre is opened its doors to the public for the first time in 10 years to help Fullerton College students showcase their film projects during the first Fox Film Festival on March 2. The festival was a featured stop during the Fullerton Art Walk and showcased more than 10 films produced and hand-edited by students studying Television and Film Production at Fullerton College.

FC Angels Night Kick Off on the Quad
Grab your best Angels gear and join us on the quad on Tuesday, March 13 for the FC Angels Kickoff event from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the quad. Student clubs and organizations will be hosting a club rush and tickets for the April 6 game and tailgate party will be available for purchase. Cypress College Threat Resolved; Campus Opened at 12 Noon on March 5
On the evening of Sunday, March 4, Cypress College Campus Safety received a notification from the police about a threat from a former student that was deemed credible and timely. The Cypress College and NOCE Cypress Center were immediately put on lockdown and students and staff were notified of the closure via emergency text and email. The former student has been detained by local law enforcement, and the campus was been cleared for opening at 12 noon today, Monday, March 5. Read more...
Hornet Speech and Debate Team delivers a Championship Victory
Fullerton College Speech & Debate was outstanding at their second competition of the spring semester as 16 students competed at the Spring and Pacific Championship tournaments hosted by CSU Long Beach. The tournament brought to Southern California some of the best minds from CSU Fullerton, University of Southern California, Eastern Michigan University, Arizona State University and dozens of community colleges and universities. Baseball
The Hornets (7-8 overall) were rained out last week, but will hit the field again on Tuesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. when they open conference-play against Golden West College. Come on out and support your Hornets!
Softball
The FC softball team avoided the rain playing down in the San Diego area over the weekend. On Friday, the Hornets lost 10-4 at San Diego Mesa, but on Saturday, they swept their double-header at Grossmont beating the Griffins 11-3 and 16-6.
Men's Volleyball
Fullerton kept their winning ways afloat last Friday at home against Palomar College three games to none. The win marks FC's fourth in a row.

Women's Beach Volleyball
The Hornets lost both of their matches at the Irvine Valley Quad last Friday against Santa Barbara (4-1) and Long Beach (5-0).

Track and Field
The Hornets came up shining with 15 best efforts at the El Camino Invitational on Saturday.

On Thursday, Orange Empire Conference rival Saddleback College edged out the FC women's tennis team 4-5.

Allegory for Grief and Grace Opening Reception: March 8, 5-7 p.m. March 8-April 9
Fullerton College is honored to present Lisa Congdon as the 2018 Artist in Residence. Fine artist, illustrator and author Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful paintings and hand lettering. In addition to authoring seven books, she works for clients around the world including MoMA, REI, Harvard University, Martha Stewart Living, Chronicle Books, and Random House Publishing, among many others.
Gold Company with FC J-Train
March 7 at 7:30 p.m.
J-Train is the premier vocal jazz performance, touring, and recording ensemble at Fullerton College. The group performs nationally at jazz festivals, conferences, and many other private and public concerts and has released three albums since 2008.
