Watch for your Annual Report...Forum to discuss issues

We are working on our annual report and will be emailed out this weekend and paper copies will also be available on Sunday morning.   For those who like looking at more detailed financial reports we will have a Forum led by Kristin Tibayan at our faith formation time on Jan 21st and 28th , to go over any questions you may have.

Our Nominating Committee is at work  looking for people willing to serve on the Vision Council (we will need to be electing 4 people this year)  If you have an interest or know someone that you think would be good in this area of service, please contact the church office

Changes in Responsibility

We are always working to be better stewards of the financial gifts that you entrust to the congregation for it's ministry.  As a best practice for financial accountability the ELCA recommends that we separate the duties of Financial Secretary (managing the income of funds) from the Bookkeeper (managing the disbursement of funds).  In the past Sue Hood has graciously done both these jobs and we are very thankful for the work that she has done on behalf of our congregation.

But moving forward we will be separating the duties.  Sue Hood will be our Financial Secretary.
So if you have any questions regarding your giving please contact Sue at the church office or email: [email protected].  As Parish Administrator, Shannon Clarke will be taking on the bookkeeping duties. So if you have questions about expenses, bills or reimbursements contact Shannon ([email protected]).

PS...No Pastor's Class on Jan. 21 and 28th
because will be having forums for people to raise any questions or comments they may have about the Annual Report.  W

Brr!  I'm bored!  What is there to do?  Need some family time?

Joy has a great movie library.  Why not share a movie or two as a family during this frigid time of year.  Check out the bulletin board for some ideas.  These and additional movies are found on the library shelves. Also, numerous books to cozy up with on cold days or long dark nights....The Joy Library Committee.

UPDATE...
As of Dec. 1st, we have 60 applications approved for 2017 and 55 completed. The remaining 5 will be completed during December so our year end total of Thrivent Action Team contributions will be $15,000. It was a good year!

Thousands of dollars are available for us to use projects in our congregation and community...come find out how you can be part of it. Joy has prepared a 2 page informational and guidelines document that will explain the program and ease you through the application process.  If you would like to view this  here .  Another great resource is "101 ways to spark action in your community".
