Active Shooter Drill Set for March 14
On Wednesday, March 14 at 10:15 a.m., Fullerton College will participate in an active-shooter emergency drill. The drill will be initiated and ended through live announcements delivered through the Cisco phones located throughout campus. At 10:15 a.m., people on campus will be directed to shelter-in-place/lockdown, view an educational video on active-shooter situations, and then discuss preparation methods in their classrooms and offices.

On Feb. 21, students and staff participated in the annual Black Students' Forum hosted by the Umoja Center, Cadena Cultural Center and Ethnic Studies. Participants engaged in lively discussions, heard from a variety of presenters, and had the opportunity to share personal experiences.

Coffee with Chancellor and Board of Trustees set for March 19
Attend an open discussion to ask questions, provide feedback or just listen to conversation. All discussion topics are welcome, such as: student success, budget, enrollment, funding, projects, challenges and opportunities. Fullerton College will host this event on March 19 at 2 p.m. in Room 224-228. NOCE will host this event at the Anaheim Campus on March 15 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 105, and Cypress College will host this event on April 19 at 11 a.m. in Room 414.
CommUNITY Day Celebrates African American History Month

The Orange County Community Colleges' Strong Workforce Initiative Brand Project is under way and Interact Communications, would like to include your feedback in the research. This survey linked below is part of Interact's qualitative process. It is an online, open-ended, non-primed survey to make certain that faculty and staff who want to participate are given the opportunity to share their opinions. The survey will take 5-10 minutes.

Call for Facilitators for Women's Forum
The Fullerton College 8th Annual Women's Forum is scheduled for Thursday, March 8 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Room 224. The keynote theme is Time Has Been Up! Continuing the Movement To End Gender-Based Violence. There is a call for small group facilitators who will engage students in groups of no more than 10 people in discussions related to the theme. Men's Basketball
The #7 seed FC men's basketball team hosted #10 Allan Hancock College in the Hornets Nest Friday night in the second round of the SoCal Regional Playoffs and ended their season in a close heartbreaker 70-67. For the third straight season since head coach Perry Webster took over, the Hornets have made the playoffs and had a 20-win season.
Baseball
The Hornets played host to Pasadena City College in a non-conference match-up on Saturday afternoon and were blanked by the Lancers 6-0. Up Next: The Hornets (7-8 overall) will host Moorpark College on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.
Softball
Fullerton played at El Camino College on Saturday and lost 3-2. Up Next: FC (3-6 overall, 0-3 OEC) will play today at home against Santiago Canyon College. The first pitch goes out at 3 p.m.
Men's Volleyball
The Hornets welcomed San Diego Miramar to the South Gym on Friday and swept the Jets 3-1 in a non-conference match. Up Next: Fullerton (4-3 overall) will play at San Diego City College on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. for another non-conference match.
Women's Beach Volleyball
Fullerton's beach volleyball squad began the season with a win and a loss on Friday beating Palomar College 3-2 and losing to El Camino College 5-0.
Up Next: Fullerton (1-1 overall) will play in the Irvine Valley College Quad against Santa Barbara City College and Long Beach City College on Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m.
Track and Field
In an Orange Empire Conference meet, the FC women's team faced off with Golden West College and Orange Coast College and swept through the competition (Fullerton 70, GWC 55 and Fullerton 70, OCC 66). The men's team split their meets beating Golden West and falling to Orange Coast.
Up Next: FC will play at the El Camino College Invitational on Saturday, March 3 at 9 a.m.
Women's Tennis
The Hornets were victorious over San Diego City College at home last Friday 6-3. Up Next: FC (2-6 overall) will play at Cypress College on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.
Men's Tennis
The Hornets lost 7-2 at home against San Diego City College last Friday.

Swim and Dive
The Aqua Hornets swam well at the very cold and windy Golden West Sprint Invitational this past weekend with many FC athletes have top eight finishes.

Fullerton College is honored to present Lisa Congdon as the 2018 Artist in Residence. Fine artist, illustrator and author Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful paintings and hand lettering. In addition to authoring seven books, she works for clients around the world including MoMA, REI, Harvard University, Martha Stewart Living, Chronicle Books, and Random House Publishing, among many others.
