Castalia: Champions of Women Composers
January 21, 3  p.m.
First Reformed Church (Holland)

A familiar and popular chamber music ensemble returns to the Free@3 stage in a program titled Castalia: Champions of Women Composers. The group's founder, pianist Mary Scanlan, has done extensive work exploring their much-neglected and seldom performed but worthy compositions. This concert features pieces by Rebecca Clarke, Clara Schumann and Amanda Rontgen-Meier.
Violinist Jenna Anderson, violist Leslie Van Becker, and cellist Alicia Stegink Eppinga make up the quartet. Van Becker and Eppinga are Principal Chairs in the Grand Rapids Symphony and Anderson is a member. All 3 have appeared in the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck.

Admission is free.
