What brought you to Northwest ISD as a volunteer?
My children and RoShal Saenz (voluntold to join PTA with her)
 
How long have you been volunteering with NISD?
This is the start of my second year.
 
What is your favorite thing about volunteering with NISD?
I love the relationship between the school level administration, teachers and volunteers.  It feels more like a family.
 
What was your favorite activity/hobby as a child?
Playing softball, reading and traveling
 
"Daniele has stepped up as our PTA President," J.C. Thompson Elementary School Principal Leigh Anne Romer, Ed.D. said.  "She is always willing to lend a helping hand in any capacity and continues to cultivate relationships between PTA and the JCT community.  She is often described as a cheerleader and an advocate for all students and staff at Thompson Elementary."

 

The Northwest ISD Partners in Education program creates school-support opportunities for parents, businesses and the community by offering a wide variety of options amenable to every school schedule, talent and expertise. New Adopt-a-School Partner
Superior Fiber and Data Services--represented by owner Randy Fuller.  Superior Fiber and Data Services donated $2,500 to Seven Hills Elementary School to accomplish goals for the remainder of this school year.  Next year, Superior Fiber will be donating $5,000 to go towards The Leader in Me student curriculum.  PIE is pleased to welcome Superior Fiber and Data Services as an Adopt-a School partner.

NEF Receives 2,400 New Books from Barnes & Noble for NISD
The Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive benefitting the Northwest ISD Education Foundation wrapped up December 31.  NEF, in partnership with Barnes & Noble Southlake, donated 2,400 books to the district.  The Northwest ISD Board of Trustees recognized Barnes & Noble Southlake and NEF for the donation at the school board meeting last week.


 
Scholarship Applications Open Next Month 
The Northwest ISD Education Foundation (NEF) takes pride in helping students succeed beyond their time in the district by providing scholarship opportunities!  To date, NEF has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships.  The 2018 applications open on Monday, February 5, and will be posted on the NEF The deadline to submit a application is Friday, March 30, 2018.  If you have any questions or would like information on how to sponsor a student scholarship, please contact Alyssa Edstrom at [email protected] or 817-215-0084.
