Tijuana Flats Supports
JA Summer Camp!
Thanks to the Tijuana Flats Just in Queso Foundation, two more scholarships are already available for this summer's JA BizTown Camp! The youth will develop skills in entrepreneurship, workforce readiness, personal finance, business management, self-presentation, and other life skills, during a fun-filled week at JA World Huizenga Center.
While there are over 200 summer camps available in Broward and south Palm Beach counties, no other organization offers a camp at which kids get to work as "adults" for a business with other kids their age in there "own authentic-looking and feeling town." In-Class Volunteer Opportunities
You can help young people in our community develop the competence, confidence and character needed in school, work and everyday life by volunteering with JA!
- Mentor Hallandale High School students in school during the month of March.
- Personal finance programs include three visits from 7:30 - 9:00 A.M.
- Career success programs include 4 or 5 visits from either 7:30 - 9:00 A.M. or 1:00 - 2:30 P.M.
- Meet with elementary school students as an after school mentor, now through May 31st.
Training and curriculum are provided. Lessons vary upon grade level.
