MMA Supports T21 Ordinances in Mankato, North Mankato
The MMA sent letters of support to the city councils of Mankato and North Mankato regarding ordinances that would raise the minimum legal sale age for tobacco products to 21 in those cities. Read more here.

DHS Child & Teen Check-Up Requirements Modified
The MMA, with a number of other advocates, has lobbied the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) to delay implementation of several elements of its new Child & Teen Check-Up (C&TC). C&TC is the state's program used to comply with federal requirements to provide quality well-child care for children eligible for Medicaid. Read more here.

Watch for Value Satisfaction Survey from MMA
In the coming weeks, the MMA and its research partner, Data IQ, will send out a survey to gather feedback on the association and the practice of medicine in Minnesota. Online Opioids Lecture Series Had Banner Year in 2017

DHS Drug Formulary Committee Seeks Physicians
Several openings are available for physicians on the Minnesota Department of Human Services' Drug Formulary Committee, which is tasked with making recommendations about prior authorization requirements and mandatory generic substitution exclusions. The committee is accepting applications through Jan. 22 for three licensed physicians, including one physician who treats mental illness. Registration Now Open for Day at the Capitol
Registration is now open for the MMA's 2018 Day at the Capitol, which takes place on March 14. It's a fantastic opportunity to get directly involved in the advocacy process at the Capitol and meet with state legislators.
