We are excited to welcome Gregory C. Scott as our new President & CEO!
Mr. Scott brings 20 years of vision and executive leadership in economic and community development, having most recently served as the President and CEO of New Directions for Veterans.

"I am elated to have Mr. Scott lead the Community Action Partnership of Orange County," said Alicia Berhow, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. "Gregory is passionate about eradicating poverty, serving the community of Orange County and advocating for our clients.  I've been impressed with his leadership and the Board of Directors and staff look forward to working with him to continue our mission." 

Mr. Scott has worked extensively in the private and non-profit sectors focusing on social justice, diversity, education, youth development, poverty, financial stability, food and hunger, affordable housing, homelessness, veteran issues, and was considered to be the best choice to tackle the challenges facing low-income residents in Orange County... Read more.

MLK Day of Service

On Monday, January 15th (MLK Jr. Day) over 550 volunteers came to the OC Food Bank to help pack food boxes for seniors in need. Over the course of three shifts, they were able to pack over 9,000 food boxes! Thank you to all the organizations, groups, and individuals that contributed to service on their day off! 

CAPOC Volunteers at the Giving Farm

Westminster High's agricultural program isn't just educating students about farming. By partnering with the OC Food Bank, i t's also putting food on the tables of those who need it most . On Saturday, January 27th, over 60 volunteers came to the Giving Farm to harvest crops to donate to the OC Food Bank!

Buena Park residents attended a specialized training that empowers them to improve their community by promoting healthy eating, physical activity, and safe play spaces. The residents created a community improvement project to promote safer, more walk-able communities.  Read more.


El Modena FRC Karate Club Program

CAPOC is proud to receive a grant from the LA84 Foundation in the amount of $5,000. The grant will go towards the El Modena FRC Karate Club Program. Funding from LA84 are legacy funds from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. To access the press release & learn more and/or donate.
