Bess Bower Dunn Museum of Lake County
invites visitors of all ages to attend its grand opening event on Saturday, March 24 from 10am to 5pm at 1899 West Winchester Road in Libertyville. The family-friendly event includes free admission, guided tours of brand-new exhibitions, drop-in activities and the opportunity to meet paleoartist Tyler Keillor who created the world’s first scientifically accurate, life-sized Dryptosaurus for the new Dunn Museum.

Affordable Pet Vaccination Clinic

Low-cost pet vaccination clinics provide a convenient and affordable way to keep pets up to date with their shots and rabies tags. Pets are taken on a first come first served basis. Metra Parking Fee Hike At The Mundelein Train Station

Recently, the Mundelein Board of Trustees approved an increase to the daily parking rate at the Mundelein Metra station. Effective April 1, 2018, the rate will increase from $1.50 to $1.75 per day.

Kirk Players will celebrate its 25

anniversary of children’s show productions with the comedy-adventure classic

Peter Pan and Wendy.

Welcome Our New Trustee Pat Stejskal

At the March 2018 Regular Meeting of the Fremont Township Board,we appointed Patricia Stejskal to fill the remainder of the vacant trustee term. Ms. Stejskal is employed as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at McHenry County College, and is a Mundelein resident who has shown her commitment to volunteerism in Fremont Township. Since 2013, Pat has served as Team Leader for the Fremont Township Community Emergency Response Team, attended our board meetings and worked to educate our community on safety issues.

AREA General Store to Host Weekly “Cup-A-Joe” Coffee Get Togethers for Veterans and Family Services

Mundelein’s AREA General Store is is now a host site for Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation’s “Cup-A-Joe” coffee gathering. The group gathers on Tuesdays each week at AREA General Store, located at 18 East Park Street in Mundelein.

Pizza Throwdown To Benefit Students
|
|
Eight area pizzarias will be vying for the best pizza in Mundelein, all in an effort to raise funds for the Mundelein District 75 STEAM Foundation. The second annual Mundelein Pizza Throwdown will be held on March 15 from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm at Carl Sandburg Middle School. More than 300 residents are expected to participate in the throwdown, voting for the best pizza, crust and sauce in all of Mundelein.
The event will benefit the D75 STEAM Foundation’s efforts providing enrichment in science, technology, engineering, arts and math education.

Green Living Fair March 17th

The 2018 Green Living Fair will be held on Saturday, March 17
th
from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St. in Libertyville, IL. Admission is FREE!
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about earth-healthy daily routines from the 40+ exhibitors featuring local environmental groups, businesses and youth clubs. There will also be continuous 30 minute Speaker Forums addressing today’s environmental challenges. No Goods or Services will be sold directly at the fair.
Recycling opportunities include bikes, bike parts, Styrofoam blocks, CDs, DVDs, eyeglasses, Christmas lights, hearing aids, cell phones, gym shoes wine corks, and rechargeable and small sealed lead-acid batteries.
