A Message From Michelle

March Madness! It truly is...in more ways than one!

If you happen to love a sports fan, it's that sweet time when "Super" football championships morph into "Sweet" basketball championships and the sound of a baseball pinging its way off an aluminum bat can send shivers of excitement up one's spine....Yes, it's that time of Madness! This year, we had the added thrill of watching the talented men and women from all over the world compete in the Winter Olympics in South Korea, a country who lives in the shadows of threat, yet displayed its resilience of spirit and opened it's arms to all who came to witness the athletes and their amazing fetes. It feels so good to place the world's problems aside for a moment and cheer for something that just feels good. It truly doesn't matter whether you're watching your child play high school football on a Friday night or your favorite team score the winning basket as the buzzer sounds, the world of sports unifies all of us to stand up and cheer in victory. It reminds us that despite our differences, no matter what they may be, we can come together to support a group of people; whether they be on a field or a court or a snow-covered mountain in another country! It's also that "friendly rivalry" that we feel when our teams are taking on each other and we know in the end, no matter who has the most points on any board that we're going to laugh and raise a toast to the winner! And in the end, it's always that feeling that reminds me to never take for granted those little things that can give us the greatest pleasure; no matter if it's 4 quarters, 2 halves or 9 innings.

So....let the games continue!
