February 5, 2018
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
Well, the groundhog saw his shadow, so six more weeks of winter! Keep sending in those hats, mittens and snowpants!  The students have been great about staying inside on these cold days! Hopefully the week ahead will bring a little snow and warmer temperatures so we can all get outside and enjoy the fresh air!

Conferences will be taking place either this Wednesday  or next  Thursday All families in Grades 1-8 should have received their conference times last Friday. If you did not sign up for a time, one was given to you. K3, K4 and K5 conferences are upon request this time around. You should have also received your scheduled time.

Finally, a huge thank you to ALL who helped to make Catholic Schools Week a memorable time for students and staff alike! The participation in events was wonderful! Mad Scientist day, with all of its STEM activities was certainly a day to remember. The Talent Show was AMAZING! (Students are already planning for next year!) Open house was a huge success!

Now, on to finishing the rest of the school year!  Lent, with all of its activities (including Stations of the Cross on Monday's at 1:30pm) will soon be upon us!

Blessings!

Mrs. Knippel

The 3 rd  and 4 th  grade buddies divided themselves up into groups that included some students from each class. Together the groups developed an idea for how to build a tall structure out of newspaper and masking tape that could hold the weight of a basketball for at least 20 seconds. The winners built a structure that was 20 inches tall.

Second grade embraced Mad Scientist Day.
