Closing Reception
  Take Aways: Art to Go!
 March 4, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm
This Sunday will be your last chance to purchase the fabulous art we are showing at our Take Aways: Art to Go! closing reception. We also have some great donated pieces that will be raffled off at the end of the reception. You do not need to be present to win, but we would love to see you there! 100% of the raffle proceeds support PVA.

We are so excited! So far, we have sold 266 pieces for a total of $34,356 from this show. This is our annual fundraising event; 30% of that amount directly supports our exhibits, and 70% supports the wonderful artists who have sold their work. We thank those of you have purchased artwork, become members, and have volunteered your time to make this show such a resounding success! Our incredible staff and interns have been working hard to keep up with the sales, loan forms, replenishing, and re-labeling the art. We thank our amazing curators and Gallery Committee for creating such a beautiful show, and the participating artists who have created affordable masterpieces for our patrons!

Deadline for Intent to Participate is 3/16/18
Exhibit Dates: May 30-July 15, 2108

What Nourishes Us, the title of PVA's 2018 annual Membership exhibit, provides a wide range of interpretations for artists who appreciate and recognize those things that keep us going, keep our art happening, and keep us feeling alive and interested in the world. "When people hear the word nourishing, they might think first of food, which nourishes the body, however, the curators for this exhibit, Jane Gregorius, Susan Matulich and Carol Walberg would like to emphasize that "what nourish es our soul " is important as well.

Deadline for Entry is 3/30/18
Exhibit Dates: June 1- October 31, 2018

We invite your participation in the twelfth annual Pajaro Valley Arts (PVA) sculpture exhibition, taking place in the beautiful two-acre Sierra Azul Nursery demonstration gardens, located at 2660 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville, California. We have enjoyed eleven critically and financially successful exhibits, and look forward to including your sculpture in our twelfth exhibit.

Pieces submitted must be weatherproof (to be insured), and should be of a scale suitable for outdoor display. Pieces intended for display on pedestals taller than 18" may not be selected.

Deadline: March 31, 2017

Movable Murals is a joint project of PVA and the City of Watsonville, funded through the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, which provides outdoor, semi-permanent hanging space for muralists and artists utilizing digital media and/or painting to create temporary installations. There are four mural opportunities that will be located at 250 Main Street, in downtown Watsonville. We are installing a hanging system that can be used, re-used, or moved. Selected artists or community groups will be provided 4' x 8' sheets of primed marine plywood upon which the painting, wheat pasting, or digital media will be applied. Completion of artwork will take place at artists' studios, or location of artists' choice,  and will not be created on-site . Completed panels will then be installed by the City of Watsonville. Your mural/artwork will be viewed in this location for approximately 6-12 months, at which time different artists/community groups will be offered the opportunity to create upon the same surface/plywood .
