2018 TID Officers Elected at January Annual Meeting

At the annual organizational meeting on Jan. 12, the existing slate of Transportation Improvement District (TID) officers was renewed for one additional year. The board remains committed to advancing the mission of the TID, working across geographic and political lines to improve the quality of life for Clermont County residents by stimulating economic development through transportation improvements.

Projects advanced by the TID ease congestion, expand access to current and future business and shopping locations, and improve safety for all who travel through our area.

Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road Improvements Make a Difference

I mproving safety for Clermont County drivers is one of our highest priorities. We saw a lot of wet weather in January, which made the safety improvements completed last fall as part of the Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill project all the more important.

Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill connects three major roadways: SR 131, SR 28 and US 50. Improvements were made to a stretch of the road approximately 500-feet north of Raintree Drive and continuing south for one-half mile. Upgrades include:

Realigning the road to address sharp curves and steep slopes;
Building several new retaining walls to replace older ones that had deteriorated; and
Improving drainage along the road to minimize water build-up during heavy rain and icing in winter.
