"What is the point of making beautiful things, or of cherishing the beauty of the past, when ugliness runs rampant?" asks Alex Ross in the 2017 New Yorker magazine article "Making Art in a Time of Rage." Ross later references a London gallery that, in the midst of World War II, prefaced the exhibition catalogue for Jacob Epstein's flower paintings with a quote from  Shakespeare:  "How with this rage will beauty hold a plea?..."  Click HERE for full details and to submit. THE RISE AND FAIL OF THE N WORD: EXHIBITION CONCLUSION/ROUNDTABLE

The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund presents: "The Rise and Fail of the N-Word: Implicit Bias and the N-Word Living in our Subconscious," by Rhinold Ponder. This provocative exhibition challenges the lack of a common language in our efforts to understand and communicate across perspectives about racism, and seeks to engage viewers in an emotional and often redemptive dialogue.

EXHIBITION CONCLUSION/ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION: Open to all those who have visited the exhibition. Moderated by Enroue Halfkenny.

All related events are free and open to the public, though reservations are required.
