  Community Passover Seder Saturday March 31
 
The Women of B'nai Israel will be hosting the very popular annual Second Night Seder on Saturday March 31 at 5:00 pm in the Social Hall at CBI with Rabbi Alfi and Cantor Steinberg conducting the Seder.

Adults: $40
Children ages 6-12:  $20 
Children Under 6:  Free. 
Prices will increase on March 19. 
Adults: $50, Children 6-12 $25, (Children under 6 free)

or mail a check that is payable to Women of B'nai Israel to:

Reservations and payments must be received by Saturday March 24. Second night Seder is always a sellout!  Please contact CBI office at (916) 446-4861 after March 24 regarding late reservations.  
 
Ceremonial wine is provided. Confirmation Class will have wine for sale or bring your own!

We need your help for the Second Night Seder!
Volunteers are needed to help set up for the Second Night Seder on Thursday March 29 and Saturday March 31. If you can help on either, or both, of those days, it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Caryn Mizzi at carynmizzi@gmail.com   if you can help us with this amazing event for our congregation.


Board Meeting Monday, March 19 at 6:00 pm
   
  The Women of B'nai Israel board   meets at the CBI Conference Room from 6 to 8 pm. All members are invited to attend.
 

Recent Events

We made over 400 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless. Thanks to Helen Nusbaum and Caryn Mizzi for organizing this mitzvah.

  An overflow crowd enjoyed Rosh Chodesh and watched a spellbinding documentary about family secrets - Rabbi Alfi, Deni Deutsch Marshall and Judy Emick-Leatherwood work together to make it happen.

Friday April 6-Brotherhood Shabbat
The Brotherhood did a wonderful job hosting the Oneg for our Shabbat and, in turn, the  Women of B'nai Israel will be hosting the Oneg Shabbat for the Brotherhood Shabbat. We need volunteers - if you can bake, donate or prepare food, or help with the set up,  please contact   womenofbnaiisrael@gmail.com.

The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region and the Jewish Community Relations Council are happy to announce the return of the Jewish Film Festival.  The Crest Theater is located at 1013 K Street, Sacramento. This year the Festival will feature six films, a discussion with one of the film makers, a dance performance, and two receptions.

A refugee from Nazi-occupied Austria became the world's most beautiful female movie star. She was also the unheralded inventor of the technology that led to secure Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Film maker Alexandra Dean will introduce the film and will lead a post-film discussion.

Come join us for interesting discussions of books about Jewish topics or by Jewish authors. 
 
We meet on Wednesdays at 7 pm every 4-6 weeks in the temple library. Just email Jane Orkand at orkandsac@gmail.com to receive emails of upcoming book discussion dates, along with the titles of books we'll be discussing. We'd love to have you join us.

Passover is this month!
