Mishloach Manot Fundraiser
Thank you so much to all the volunteers who made the mishloach manot fundraiser a huge success! We had so many volunteers helping to take orders, shop, package, and deliver the Purim baskets. We received many thank you phone calls from community members who very much appreciated the delicious goodies in honour of Purim.
Purim Spirit at Akiva
Purim was so much fun at Akiva this year. We began with Megilah reading by Rabbi Halpern.  The students were very well behaved and many of the guests who came to hear the Megillah commented on how well behaved our students were!
Next we had Purim Carnival, Mishloach Manot Exchange and Purim Seudah.
Thank you to Morah Halpern for organizing and creating such great booths for the carnival this year. The students had a blast trying to erase Haman's name, enjoying "Nes Cafe", getting their faces painted by Mrs. Keselman, and loads of other fun.
Thank you so much Ms. Doctor, Mrs. Jacobs and the Grade 6-8 students for helping to set up and run the carnival. After recess was our Purim Costume Parade.
Led by our Parade Marshalls, Sam Virine, Ariel Khavkin and Eliezer Greenwald, we marched through the entire school including upstairs and outside and around while the music was blasting through the halls! We even delivered Mishloach Manot to our neighbors!

Mishloach Manot to our Community Helpers
On Tuesday of this week, our students in Grades 1-3 went to deliver Mishloach Manot to our community helpers at the Police Station and Fire Station. The officers were very appreciative and gave our students a great tour of the facilities.
Thank you to our parent volunteer drivers; Mrs. Giglia, Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. Linetsky, Mrs. Raiko and Mrs. Ullman
