Purim was so much fun at Akiva this year. We began with Megilah reading by Rabbi Halpern.
The students were very well behaved and many of the guests who came to hear the Megillah commented on how well behaved our students were!
Next we had Purim Carnival, Mishloach Manot Exchange and Purim Seudah.
Thank you to Morah Halpern for organizing and creating such great booths for the carnival this year. The students had a blast trying to erase Haman's name, enjoying "Nes Cafe", getting their faces painted by Mrs. Keselman, and loads of other fun.
Thank you so much Ms. Doctor, Mrs. Jacobs and the Grade 6-8 students for helping to set up and run the carnival. After recess was our Purim Costume Parade.
Led by our Parade Marshalls, Sam Virine, Ariel Khavkin and Eliezer Greenwald, we marched through the entire school including upstairs and outside and around while the music was blasting through the halls! We even delivered Mishloach Manot to our neighbors!
