Offshore Regatta 

Are you ready for an offshore adventure?  Joining South Coast Sailing Adventures for the Offshore Regatta may be just for you!  Whether you are a seasoned sailor, just starting your sailing journey or enjoy riding along, there is something for you on this fun-filled regatta weekend!

Gain valuable longer-distance sailing experience on this 40-nautical mile sail and improve your offshore safety and awareness skills.  As an added bonus, South Coast Sailing Adventures will offer the Combo Class - ASA 103 and 104 (Basic Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering) during the trip.*

Schedule:

Thursday, May 10 Crew briefing, boat preparations, provisioning, and departure for Galveson Yacht Basin; cocktails with the race committee at the Tremont Hotel rooftop

Friday, May 11 Reach Down The Beach "positioning" race from Galveston to Freeport; Official Regatta Party at Captain Ken's Port O'Call with dinner, DJ music, karaoke, and free rum

Saturday, May 12 Offshore Regatta from Freeport to Galveston; 3rd Annual Rollicking Beach Party on East Beach; overnight in Galveston aboard the vessel

Sunday, May 13 Return to Kemah; attend awards ceremony at the Houston Yacht Club

*Prerequisite training in Basic Keelboat (ASA 101) is required to earn the Combo certification during the Offshore Regatta.
