Adult Education Schedule
Growing In Faith Class
"The Questions Asked of Jesus"
Sundays from 9:15 - 10:15am in Classroom A-B
We previously studied some of the 300 questions which Jesus asked people, and we now turn to the questions that people asked Jesus.  We begin with the most common question people asked (yes, it is the same one today!), go through key questions he responded to, and end with questions in people's minds although never said out loud but which he answered nevertheless!  Come and enjoy a new look into our Savior.  Continues through March 25.   Led by Carl and Halie Dodrill

Women's Monday Morning Bible Study
"Heaven is Real"
Mondays from 10 - 11:30am in the Fireside Room
Near-death experiences give us a glimpse into what God has prepared for us in heaven.  We'll explore the scientific research and the scriptures. Continues through March 19. Led by Marla Briggs. All women are invited

Wednesday Morning Bible Study - begins March 21
Wednesdays from 11-noon in the Fireside Room
The Wednesday Midday Bible study is back!  Join Kristy Farber and others on Wednesdays at 11am in the Fireside room to open scripture and talk about it with people in the church.  Come when you can.  No preparation is necessary.  We will be starting with the book of Amos in the Old Testament this week.
Contact: Joy Brown, [email protected].
Finance News
Tax Advantaged Gift Giving
Most of us contribute from our current resources, drawing on our bank accounts or credit cards as we support the church in its missions. However, if you have appreciated investments or take distributions from an IRA you can take advantage of giving in a tax advantaged way.

Gifts of Appreciated Investments
Donations of appreciated stocks or mutual funds allow one to avoid paying capital gains tax to the IRS while receiving a charitable contribution itemized deduction on your tax return for the full market value of the appreciated investment that exists on the date of donation.

Gifting from an IRA
If you are at the point where you are taking distributions from your IRA (which is mandatory by age 70½), then you may make a distribution directly from your IRA to the church. The amount you contribute will count against the required minimum distribution required by the IRS (see your tax advisor for the amount in your specific situation). One key aspect of payments of this type is that the contribution must come directly to the church from the institution handling your IRA.
Lenten Spiritual Practices
A number of folks have mentioned that they are enjoying the Lenten spiritual practices we have been including in the Sunday bulletins each week. There is an electronic copy posted at our website, just click here

Due to the multitude of activities taking place in the next two months, the decision has been made to cancel the rummage sale for this year. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Lindsay Murphy. Thank you!

We meet on Tuesdays at 7:00am in the Fireside Room. Please contact Brian Emanuels for more information, [email protected] .
Sanctuary Flowers
Each Sunday, congregation members have the opportunity to provide the beauty of flowers to the sanctuary. Many donate to honor loved ones who have passed, celebrate an anniversary or birthday or just because they love seeing flowers at church. Whatever the reason, the thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Flowers can come from your garden or a flower shop, whatever works best for you.

If you would like to sign up to provide flowers for an upcoming Sunday service or for more information please continue to this  link .
