Scholarship applications due April 3!
|
Do you or someone you know have a child graduating High School this year? If so, make sure to take advantage of being a Chamber Member and have them apply for a Chamber Ambassador Scholarship!
To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a high school senior graduating in 2018
- Demonstrate a capacity for leadership
- Show an interest in the community and school activities
- Be employed by, or have a parent or guardian that is employed by, a company, business, or organization that is a Chamber member
The Chamber of Manitowoc County's Ambassador Scholarship Committee, sponsor of this scholarship, believes that leadership, community service, and the pursuit of higher education should be appropriately recognized and rewarded. $1,000 scholarships are available for students pursuing a 4-year degree and $500 scholarships are available for students pursuing a 2-year degree. To date, The Chamber has awarded over $48,000 to students pursuing higher education.

Corporate Guardians of Northeast Wisconsin to open third office
Our agency was incorporated in 2006 and approved by the State of Wisconsin to provide guardianship services. Since that time, we have grown to serve more than 40 counties throughout the State of Wisconsin and are approved to serve 500 individuals under guardianship.
We employ 12 full-time staff and offer services including guardian of estate, guardian of person, conservatorship, trustee, guardianship consulting, estate functions, power of attorney and case management.
Our employees receive extensive guardianship training, have bachelor's degrees in related fields, and are nationally certified guardians through the Center for Guardianship Certification.

We invite you to come and join Kinect - The Chamber's Direct Networking group. Kinect meets once a month, on the third Wednesday at 7:15am, at The Chamber. Members get to know each other's businesses so that they can refer business to each other. Membership is $60 annually; however, you're welcome to come and check out any one session at no cost, just to give it a look, and meet the great businesses that participate.

Meet the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble!
Why does your organization love Manitowoc County?
Bringing music to Manitowoc County and the Lakeshore for the last 34 years has been a both gratifying and pure enjoyment for the members of the UW-Manitowoc Lakeshore Wind Ensemble. Manitowoc County is filled with amazing and talented musicians of all ages. We have members that have played with the wind ensemble since its inception in 1987 and numerous students have "come home" to the wind ensemble after completing their degrees at a four-year university. We love how the Manitowoc community supports music on the Lakeshore - Music Unites Us!
