Global Missions Conference: An Open Door
Sunday, March 4
The Christ Covenant Global Missions Conference is an annual event where we engage our congregation in the advancement of the Kingdom of God. On this day, we will highlight some of our supported missionaries through their testimonies and discover ways we can be involved in the Great Commission.
Sunday school communities will hear from missionaries from South America, Europe, and the Middle East (please see the Global Missions Conference webpage for information about combined communities, locations, and speakers for each community).
Mack Stiles, the founding pastor of an international church in Northern Iraq, will be preaching in the AM and PM services. You won't want to miss this opportunity to be encouraged and challenged. More information is available on our Global Missions Conference webpage.

Missions Sunday Bible School
Sunday, March 4 | 9 AM
During our Sunday Bible School time, our missionaries will be sharing their testimonies and answering questions in combined classes in the Community Life Center (CLC) and in the worship center (WC):
- Senior Adults: Peter Leach (WC 201)
- Sojourners & Young Seniors: Jonty Rhodes (CLC 1 & 2)
- Young Families & Student Families: Javier Gil (CLC 3 & 4)
- Young Pros & 18|22: Mack & Leann Stiles (CLC 5 & 6)
- Discovery Class will meet as usual, just in a different location (CLC Chapel)
- High School & MIddle School: Dave Johnson (Youth Center/lower level of CLC)
- Elementary School: Joseph & Savannah Foucachon (C Building)

Faith Promise Commitments
Sunday, March 4
As part of our Global Missions Conference, we will be collecting commitment cards for our Faith Promise budget. Faith Promise giving is the primary means by which Christ Covenant supports international and domestic missions outreach. The campaign also supports other local, regional, and national outreach. Your commitments will help us to budget our giving to mission trips and to continue to support our many missionaries.
Commitments cards will be available in the worship folders this Sunday and are also online in various formats on the Faith Promise webpage.

GriefShare Support Group
begins Monday, March 5 | 6:30-8:30 PM
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. You don't have to go through the grieving process alone.
Our next GriefShare group will meet on Mondays, March 5 - June 11 in the middle school auditorium in the lower level of the Community Life Center. Special Event with Nathan Clark George
Friday, March 9 | 7-8:30 PM
Join us for a special evening with our new Pastor of Worship this Friday in our sanctuary. The evening will include a "mini" concert, congregational singing, and Q&A time for you to learn more about Nathan and his family. Childcare will be available for ages 2 and under. There will be a cookie reception following the concert.

Sunday Bible School - Spring Quarter

The new season of Sunday Bible School will begin on Sunday, March 11 (March 4 is a special SBS for Global Missions Sunday - please see above for details). Communicants Class
begins Sunday, March 11 | 5-5:50 PM
The Spring 2018 Communicants Class (for 5th graders) is about to begin! The communicants class prepares 5th graders to understand the elements of the faith as part of their public profession of faith and prepares them to become communing members of the church. We will meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00-5:50 in room B-204 from March 11-May 20. If you would like more information about this class, please

Conquer Series for Men
Begins Monday, March 12 | 6:30 PM
Men are invited to join the Set Free team for the Conquer Series for Men: The Battle Plan for Purity. This is a 6-session series for men who are ready to fight for purity or to walk alongside their brothers in this battle. This is a series that every man can benefit from! Thrive Over 55 Senior Expo
Friday, March 16 | 9 AM - 12:30 PM
Christ Covenant Church will host this special event presented by Matthews-Mint Hill Weekly for those over the age of 55 to connect with the resources available to them in the community. Companies and organizations will provide information on topics including wellness, health care, financial planning, and education.
Join us in the Community Life Center for this FREE event where visitors will be treated to free breakfast and lunch. Although our Senior Adult ministry is especially invited to this event, younger communities will also find much worth in attending for both planning for the future or for information about taking care of older family members. Movie Night Out
Friday, March 16 | 7:10 PM
All are invited to a premiere of the movie I Can Only Imagine, the inspiring true story about Bart Millard, the singer/songwriter of "I Can Only Imagine," and the power of forgiveness and redemption with his abusive dad. We will be selling tickets for the Friday, March 16, 7:10 PM showing at Regal Stonecrest. Purchase tickets (two for $15) in the worship center lobby Sundays through March 11 (or until sold out). Children's Ministry Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 24 | 10 AM-noon
All children (yes! bring your friends!) are invited to join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We will be in the youth area (lower level) of the Community Life Center for games, music, and a story. Then we'll move outside for our egg hunt! Bring a friend! Email [email protected] with any questions.

Spring Lunch
Sunday, March 25 | 12:30 PM
Join Christ Covenant and the Children's Ministry for our annual spring lunch on March 25 following the morning worship service. This year, we will be celebrating and honoring those who have served in the Children's Ministry with a "Garden Party."
Pick up your pans in the lobby on March 11 or 18. This also serves as your reservation so that we know how many people to prepare for. The menu is BBQ, baked beans, slaw, mac & cheese, cupcakes, and a surprise dessert.
We will also be having a cupcake contest this year! Bake and decorate two dozen of your favorite cupcakes in a spring theme or colors. (More information will be at the pan table on March 11 and 18.)
Don't forget your lawn chair if you want to sit outside! We look forward to celebrating together as a Covenant family!

Vacation Bible School 2018
June 18-22
Vacation Bible school at Christ Covenant Church is part of our Seek the City youth mission week. This year's VBS will be held June 18-22. Registration will open on May 1, and we'll have more information to post about the week closer to that date. VBS is free and open to children ages 5-11 (Note: Children must be 5 on or before June 18, 2018, to be able to participate.)

Peter is the assistant pastor, sharing general pastoral duties and other responsibilities and privileges in helping to advance the Kingdom there.
Pray for several new converts reflective of the ethnic makeup of their city. Pray for helpers in their ministry for children and teens. Pray for perseverance and encouragement in their work.

American Heritage Girls Pound Cake Sale
AHG is partnering with Trail Life to bring you pound cake. The sale is open now through March 15. Find an AHG troop member or order online at

This sale helps our troop girls offset the cost of summer camp, pays for national AHG programming fees, and it's a delicious way to keep these rich programs and experiences in the lives of our girls and young women.
