A Note from Susan Holt
Thanks to the Ivymount team of students, parents, and staff (pictured right) for joining MANSEF Advocacy Day in Annapolis last Monday. Our group met with legislators and discussed the important role MANSEF schools play in Maryland's educational continuum and thanked them for their support. This annual visit included a speech given by our SGA Treasurer, Michael M. Congrats on a job well done!
Our MAP middle and high school students are practicing scenes from Henry V for the Shakespeare Festival hosted by the Folger Theater. The program will celebrate the many works of Shakespeare with other resident schools and will culminate with a performance in late February. (Watch our video below for a sneak peak.)
Students in our MAP program will return to the National Portrait Gallery for the "Family Day" exhibit on April 14th. This year, our students are working on projects related to the theme "Identity" in Social Studies and Art. "My favorite part of this project was having our students envision themselves as successful adults," explained Kim Prati, Ivymount Art Teacher. "They are visualizing what they could become. Their self-portraits will include props, setting and tone."

As you can see, our students have a lot to be proud of. Thanks to all for making Ivymount an exceptional place for exceptional people.
