LIFT Leaders: Set Goal Action Plans with Your Team Members
After a goal is approved, it's time to put it into action. Work with team members to create an action plan for goals at risk of not being met by year end. Similar to a project plan, a goal action plan outlines the steps to take every quarter.  Team members can  create goal action plans  to help achieve their goals. Managers can  review and comment  on plans as part of regular check-ins to monitor goal progress.

After you've completed the process, you'll have a goal action plan that can be saved, emailed or printed. Review action plans regularly and check in with your team members to monitor goal progress and any action you need to take to support them in achieving goals.
Start the New Year Right by Identifying Career Stallers

Career stallers are things that hold us back or make us less successful.  For example, do you hesitate to make unpopular or difficult decisions? Fear failure or discourage calculated risk-taking?  Success in our roles and in transitioning to new roles requires us to acquire new skills and  let go of things that don't serve us well.  Career stallers are important to identify so we can focus on growth and development for ourselves and our team members.

Visit the  LIFT resource page to learn more. In the navigation on the left under Competencies, click on a LIFT level (for example, Leader of Self) to review competencies and career stallers for that level.  Also, visit the  FYI page   to learn more about the book "For Your Improvement" and how it can be a resource for growing great leaders.
