COB 300 Summer 2018
COB 300, Harrisonburg section only, will not be offered in Summer 2018.
Students who applied for Summer 2018 will have their application rolled into the Fall 2018 application cycle. Questions about taking COB 300 during the fall or how this will affect progression in the degree should be directed the student's academic advisor. Academic advisor assignments can be found in "MyMadison". The Antwerp section of COB 300 will still be offered this summer.
2018 Summer School Schedule
The first four-week summer session starts a week earlier this year. Session 1 begins Monday, May 7th.
Advance registration for summer school starts Monday, March 19th. Check "MyMadision" to see the date and time you are scheduled to register and to ensure that there are no holds preventing registration.
COB 300 Application
Students must attend a group session to apply for COB 300. Group sessions provide important information about the admissions process, progression in the major, and what to expect in COB 300 in the fall. Students also complete the COB 300 application during that session.
Sign up here, and please select the session of your intended major.
The deadline to apply for COB 300 is March 30th. Applications received after March 30th will not be accepted. Questions? Stop by the ASC (Showker 205) M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Withdraw Deadline
The withdraw deadline for spring 2018 is March 16th
.
A student who withdraws from a course will receive a grade of "W". This grade will be recorded (and remain) on the student's transcript regardless of the status of the student in the course at the time of the withdrawal.
Repeat Option
Students have two options to select when repeating a course at JMU. During registration, students can select either the "Repeat Credit" or "Repeat Forgive" option. Once registration is over, students can edit their repeat option up until the end of the course adjustment period in MyMadison.
The course adjustment deadline for spring is March 16th.
Rising Sophomores
Freshman business students should have received an email about their advisor assignment changing and instructions on how to establish themselves as a College of Business student. Students should read this email carefully and follow the step-by-step instructions on what to do this spring. Questions can be directed to newly-assigned advisors.
