It's the start of March and we're already looking ahead to sunshine and summertime!

We have so many wonderful opportunities available for our Students to experience throughout the Summer. Here's a few highlights: 

I've received word from The Pittsburgh Project that they're officially at capacity for the week Crossroads will be attending (July 16th-20th). There's a possibility that a few more spaces might open up before the end of this month, though, so we're creating a wait list for anyone who's interested in attending who hasn't yet had the chance to register. Please let me know if you'd like your Student's name to be added to that list.

For Students who may be looking for something a little closer to home or who have a call to experience God's presence in nature, we're excited to announce a brand new experience in partnership with FLOC Outdoor Education Center - the Eco-Adventure Camp!! This camp is action-packed and includes hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, and zip-lining while also learning about a variety of habitats, local species, and ways we can care for our sacred, beautiful planet. More details will be shared soon.

With all of these fantastic options to choose from (and more to come), it's definitely going to be a superb Summer 2018!

Teen Yoga & Mindfulness

Tuesdays 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13    7:30-8:30PM

Taught by Nancy McGovern, RYT200

During each session of this four-week class, Nancy will introduce basic yoga poses, teach breathing, relaxation, and mindfulness techniques, and help students increase their strength and flexibility of body and mind.

Bring your own yoga mat, if you have one. Mats will be available to borrow as well.

Announcing the First Annual

Eco-Adventure Summer Camp 

for both Middle and High School Students!  

Thursday, August 9th - Sunday, August 12th

at FLOC Outdoor Education Center

During this exciting, jam-packed four days, Students will:

• take a canoe trip down the Shenandoah River
• hike through pristine wilderness
• catch frogs during a water ecology lesson
• go rock climbing
• navigate through an exhilarating low ropes and high ropes challenge course that takes place 26 feet in the air and is capped off with a zip line back to the ground!

Additionally, we'll help to care for some of FLOC's gardens and grounds (including the newly-planted pollinator garden!), learn about local wildlife and their habitats, and serve as good stewards of our beloved planet Earth, as God calls us to be.
