WCPE Helping Nursing Homes Improve
Quality improvement sounds great, but how can you make it work in your nursing home? Where do you start? How can you tell if it worked?  And how do you sustain the gains?

Through a grant funded by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Civil Money Penalty (CMP) project, the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence is teaming up with area experts to offer a FREE program to help nursing homes identify areas for improvement and then create and implement a plan to make changes toward their quality improvement goals.  This program is specifically geared to 1 and 2-star nursing homes.

Experienced quality improvement coaches will introduce different tools and help staff understand how to use these tools to improve resident care and enhance quality of life in their nursing home. And we'll help  track and celebrate successes, too.

Kick off meetings start in February.  Interested in participating or serving as a coach?  Contact us  or call 608-663-5300.

Baldrige Express: High Impact, Low Cost Assessment
Are you moving the needle on your organizational improvement efforts? How do you know?

Baldrige Express is a high-level diagnostic tool designed to help you gauge deployment of improvement initiatives. It is a survey-based assessment taken by members of your workforce. It's up to you whether you want to poll your entire staff, or select particular workforce sectors. The data are collected in a Likert-scale format, organized around the seven categories of the Baldrige Criteria. The results are then processed and published in an easy-to understand feedback report that you can use to identify gaps in your improvement efforts. WCPE will walk you through the process from start to finish, culminating in an assessment of the findings and action planning. It's quick, affordable, and impactful.
