TNOYS Conference Offers Unique Opportunity to Learn Alongside Youth

At the crosshairs of research on resilience, positive youth development, and recovery from trauma as well as best practice models like trauma-informed care, peer support, and restorative justice is the idea that youth can and must speak for themselves, and work alongside us. That's why, for the first time in 35 years, Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) is fully integrating youth into its annual conference, taking place June 5-8 in Houston. For over three decades, TNOYS' annual conference has been bringing youth services professionals cutting-edge learning opportunities to help strengthen their work. This year will be no exception, as attendees are invited to learn, network, and have fun alongside young attendees throughout the event.

Call for Presenters

Present at PIP

PIP is a great venue to share your knowledge, skills and research. Help shape the conference agenda by proposing learning sessions that are innovative, insightful, engaging, and would equip participants with tools or knowledge in areas including:

Sessions will be 75 minutes in length. Conference organizers intend to award 1.25 hours of continuing education credit for each eligible session. Applicants interested in presenting multiple workshops must submit separate proposals for each one.

Submission deadline is March 15, 2018 and finalists will be notified by the end of May. To learn more, visit the Call for Presenters page.  

This year's conference will be held September 25-27, 2018 at the Arlington Convention Center. Our 2018 theme - Teaming Up for Texas Families - is a rallying cry for reducing child abuse, enhancing school readiness, improving social-emotional and physical health, and strengthening communities.
