The 4th annual 5k Do the Bloom Color Run on April 14 starts at the Depot Art Center at 10am.  Runners become living canvases painted with bright colored powder throughout the course.  This has been a popular event for folks who want to get a bit of exercise and have a colorful experience. It's a festive morning suitable for all ages...and is part of our April lineup to support Cultural Arts for kids.  Register at Active.com.  If you are not into running, but would like to be part of the fun, we have numerous volunteer opportunities through Volunteer Local.

1st graders off to the theater
to see "Pete the Cat"

Part of our Cultural Education funding for the Anacortes School District provides opportunities for students to experience  live theater performances.  This month Mt Erie 1st graders will be bussed to Mt Baker Theater in Bellingham for a performance of Pete the Cat.  We fund the Cultural Arts Program through our April events - so you can support these student opportunities by coming to our Buffett Beach Bash, or joining the Do The Boom Color Run on April 14th.
