Hear from some cast members...
Working as flight attendants for Iberian Airlines, Manolo Costazuela and his brother are anxious to meet the girls downstairs. But they're always playing that crazy game, Trivial Pursuit.

Bloom Township resident John Pekar describes his character, Manolo, as"unafraid," while he views himself as a prankster. John heard about auditions from TLP's constant contact blasts. His biggest challenge to the role is the Spanish accent as well as the time commitment. His first stage role was as Randolph MacAfee in his 8th grade production of Bye Bye Birdie.

John has attended two TLP productions, was the assistant director in another production but this is his first stage appearance with The Lancaster Playhouse. He loves the comedy and the opportunity to act with other people and learn from their styles.
Tracy Brooke plays the wise cracking complainer, Renee. Tracy learned about auditions via Facebook. She is new to the TLP stage but already has decided to look for more opportunities. She declares Renee to be a "feminist" while she views herself as "chaotic."

She did some acting with church youth groups and worked on the stage crew for many musicals at Logan High School in the 80's. The time commitment has been her biggest challenge because she is a teacher and has a family, She loves the strong female characters in this production.

Tracy has been tweeting and posting about this play and encouraging family and friends to attend. (Editor note:She will have to teach this writer how to tweet.)

Words from backstage...
PJ Aubrey is serving as Director of this production of The Odd Couple (The Female Version). A newer resident to Hide-A-Way Hills, PJ spent many years living in the Northeast. She became involved with TLP in it's second season, serves on TLP's Board of Directors, and did the lighting for the fall production of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Describing herself as creative, she once did a one woman show of The Wizard of Oz, portraying all the characters.

Her biggest challenge to this production is conveying the sense of comic timing to her actors. She loves working with this amazing and hard working cast and encourages your attendance by asking you to enjoy an evening of laughing at the complexities of friendships.
Victoria Jones is delighted to be serving as Stage Manager for this show. She helped with the fall production and had so much fun, she is back to gain more TLP experience. She describes herself as "goofy" and admits she laughs so hard during rehearsals that her sides hurt. Her biggest challenge is in keeping a straight face during these same rehearsals.

She's been in and around theatre as long as she can remember. Her first acting experience was in second grade when she portrayed Betsy Ross. She insists she will be back for even more fun and opportunities with TLP.
Finding costumes that reflect 80's attire has been Amy Clemons biggest challenge. Reprising her crew role as Makeup and Costume Mistress, Amy sees herself as a permanent member of this crew. Serving in the same role for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde she loves this part of the production arena.

Amy learned about TLP from a flyer distributed at a Lancaster Fourth of July parade. This Johnstown, Ohio native sees herself as outgoing. She encourages you to attend this performance and guarantees you will have a good time and you will be glad you supported local theatre!
