I am extremely fortunate to be surrounded by great people in the music ministry. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the choir and orchestra for the fantastic job on the Christmas Cantata, and for all of their hours of preparation. And a big thanks to the handbell choir, soloists, small ensembles, and Jayné and the praise band for the time they spend preparing special music that enhances the worship experience. And it doesn't end there. All of these folks continue to work hard on a weekly basis to provide great music and leadership for the worship services. We here at Forrest Burdette MUMC are very blessed with servants that have great musical talents and are willing to tirelessly use those talents to glorify God. I would also like to thank Mike Barnhouse for all of the great special music and accompaniment he provides during worship, and for all of the help he provides to me. Kudos to all of you.... Keep up the good work! And a big THANK YOU to Ellis, the church leadership, and to the entire church for your support of this ministry. All Glory to God!

Prayers for Resurrection 2018
The following Youth and Young Adults
will be attending the Resurrection 2018 Youth Conference down in Pigeon Forge, TN next weekend along with folks from Dunbar UMC. Please keep them in your prayers for safe travels, a wonderful encounter with Christ, and a fun time. Supplies Needed!
In order to help Annette Cartwright's Haiti Mission Trip
, we are collecting underwear of all sizes for men, women, boys, and girls along with new or gently-used twin size sheets for recovery and OR beds. Washcloths and deodorant are also needed. Collection baskets are in the Narthex though Sunday, January 21. Please keep Annette and the team in your prayers. They will be leaving on Saturday, Feb. 3.

BackPack Buddies 2018 Schedule
We send nonperishable food home with 90 students each weekend.
Please remember this ministry as you grocery shop. Monetary donations and donations of gently used plastic grocery bags are appreciated. The gray cart is in the Narthex.
The sign up sheet for packing bags is at the Connection Center.
Help us be the hands and feet of Christ to these children.

Construction Update
This week they are continuing work in the kitchen addition with block wall support and the opening into the new addition down the ramp. They are working on the disconnection of Byrd Hall along the roof line to prepare for the demolition. Progress is continuing to move forward which is a true blessing.
