Coach Nicole "Nic" Bringham of Playworks Utah is UServeUtah's January AmeriCorps Member of the Month! Nicole is an AmeriCorps member serving at Millcreek Elementary. Her service there has been highlighted by incredible program quality on the playground, as well as a deep commitment to the students of Millcreek. She's gone above and beyond engaging students with special needs in her recess programming and engaging staff at the school to ensure that safe, healthy, inclusive play is happening every day for all kids. Her exemplary service is a model for all AmeriCorps members. Ann Kane, the principal of Millcreek adds "Coach Nic brings a positive energy to Millcreek! She is dedicated to providing a quality play environment for our students. She has been learning what it takes to keep everyone working towards the same goal all while having fun. Students and teachers alike enjoy having Coach Nic be a part of our learning team." Thanks Nic for your service!

AmeriCorps, also known as the Domestic Peace Corps, engages thousands of Americans nationwide in intensive, results-driven service in areas of education, public safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps members serve for up to a year and receive a modest living allowance, training,  and an education scholarship to pay for college or pay back student loans.
